Game 1: Chivas USA vs. Real Salt Lake — Tailgating with Black Army 1850

If the Los Angeles Galaxy represent the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles, then Chivas USA represent its working class.

We were invited to tailgate with Black Army 1850, one of Chivas USA’s two supporters groups, before the Chivas USA vs. Real Salt Lake match. I have never felt so welcome amongst strangers in my life.

We Need Your Help!

It has been a long time since our last post; we’ve been working hard, watching soccer, learning French and putting off homework. Unfortunately, one of our members had to back out of the trip; but the project will still be commencing exactly one month from today, but first, we need your help (and no, we’re not asking for money).

All of us that are going on the trip are pretty much life-long inhabitants of the West Coast, mainly California. We have all done a bit of traveling and as such we are pretty familiar with the three West Coast cities that we will be traveling to: Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland. However, there are nine other cities that we will be visiting. That is where you guys come in.

Three Months and Counting…

Exactly three months from today, we will begin our journey into the world of American and Canadian professional soccer. What can and should you expect from us? If there are any general questions about the trip, please see our about page for our mission statement and personal biographies. But more specifically, what should you expect from us on a day-to-day basis? Throughout the 51 days (maybe more!) of our trip, we will be uploading pictures, video and writing within 24 hours of the event we are covering.
